United Kingdom -- 30 August 2005 - Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS), global leader in consumer product testing, inspections and auditing services, will be demonstrating its local and global capabilities for all textile, nursery, toy and maternity products at the Baby and Child International Fair 2005. The Company will be exhibiting on stand 510, 9-11 October 2005 at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham.
BVCPS is also proud to sponsor the Baby Products Association (BPA) Concept 2005 award, supporting innovative designers and inventors of child use and care articles. The BPA Concept 2005 award coincides with the 60th anniversary of the Baby Products Association, the trade association for suppliers and retailers of nursery products. Designs entered for the award must meet the rigorous safety standards applicable to children’s products, as well as being unique and innovative.
Ensuring that consumer products comply with present and future safety regulations is vital, but never more so than when the products are for the nursery. It is imperative that all nursery items are safe, especially with the imminent introduction of the revised European General Consumer Product Safety Directive into UK legislation.
