Correction Issued for Flammability of Children’s Sleepwear (16 CFR 1615)
April 2007 (07B-119)

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued corrective amendments to the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, Title 16, Part 1615, Standard for the Flammability of Children’s Sleepwear: Sizes 0 Through 6X.  The changes became effective March 23, 2007 and consist primarily of correcting typographical errors, with the exception of one technical revision which is highlighted below.

Revised Measurement

There has been a correction in the measurement representing the distance from the shoulder to the upper arm in a sleepwear garment as illustrated in Diagram 1 of the Standard. The corrected measurements under Size 5 in the Table are now 9.5 cm and 3 ¾”.  (Formerly, the inches were listed as 3 ¼”.)
