Bureau Veritas LCIE China:
New Safety Tests for Plugs, Socket-Outlets and Bulbs

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS) is pleased to announce that Bureau Veritas LCIE China has developed new services enabling us to perform tests on apparatus for Italian, German, and UK plugs and socket-outlets.

New Tests Performed for Italian, German and UK Plugs and Socket-Outlets

In addition to European and French plug models, Bureau Veritas LCIE China now is able to perform tests for Italian, German, and UK plugs and socket-outlets according to respective national standards:

Italian Market:

 CEI 23-50: 2007, Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes – General requirements
 CEI 23-57: 1997, Particular requirements for adaptors

Italian standards are issued and approved by the Electrical Italian Committee, CEI or Comitato Elettrotecnico Italiano.

German Market:

 DIN VDE 0620-1: 2002, Plugs and socket-outlets for household and similar purposes – General requirements

Reminder: Bureau Veritas LCIE China can provide GS mark certification following our GS recognition. A GS Mark can be placed on your products, a voluntary mark based on German law. 

UK Market:

 BS 1363-1: 1995 + A1: 1997 + A2: 2003, Specification for rewirable and non-rewirable 13A fused plugs
 BS 1363-2: 1995 + A1: 1997 + A2: 2003, Specification for 13 A switched and unswitched socket-outlets
 BS 1363-3: 1995 + A1: 1997, Specification for adaptors

New Tests Performed for Bulbs

Bureau Veritas LCIE China is also able to perform full testing on bulbs according to European standards for tungsten bulbs, halogen bulbs and self-ballasted lamps thanks to our recent test gauge investment.

 EN 60432-1:2000 + A1: 2005 – Safety specifications for Tungsten filament lamps for domestic and similar purposes
 EN 60432-2: 2000 + A1: 2005 – Safety specifications for Tungsten halogen lamps for domestic and similar purposes
 EN 60432-3: 2003 + A1: 2005 – Safety specifications for Tungsten-halogen lamps (non-vehicle)
