REMINDER: Appliances and Electrical Products European Standards Date of Withdrawal
August 2007 (07B-140)

Under the requirements of the Machinery Directive 98/37/EC and the Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC, some European standards covering household appliances, luminaires and power tools will be updated and/or modified during the next 6 months through December 2007.

These standard modifications will become compulsory from the date of withdrawal and the new versions will apply.

Definition: Date of withdrawal (DOW)

The date of withdrawal (DOW) is the date on which the previous version of the standard is replaced by the new or modified standard. Previous versions have to be withdrawn.

IMPORTANT: Information written in red becomes compulsory on the date of withdrawal.
