WATCHES AND BELTS

There is no specific tests for watches and belts, however each of these are made up of materials which are tested for other products. For example watches come under the requirement for Lead and Nickel when in contact with the skin. Leather straps or belts are subject to Chromium VI testing. To make it easy to understand we have put together a package of performance and regulatory tests specific for each of these products, to ensure they are of the quality your brand and consumer expect to receive.

JEWELRY

While regulatory standards exist for the testing of lead or nickel content, virtually no industry standards exist for testing the performance and durability of jewelry. Therefore we have developed a range of performance and chemical tests for the evaluation of fine, precious, semi–precious, costume, or children’s jewelry to ensure you comply with regulations and for you to understand how your products will perform for the consumer.

CLOTHING & SCARFS

SUNGLASSES

There are different global sstandards required for filters and frames with filters on sunglass products. Retailers, brands and manufacturers must comply with these standards if they want to market their products into the EU, ASIA and AMERICA’s markets. At the same time, performance testing is increasingly in demand, the lifetime of a pair of sunglasses can take a lot of abuse. At Bureau Veritas we have a program specific for sunglasses testing.

COLLECTABLES

Over the years luxury brands have launched additional add on collectables into their range, some of which fall under the regulations for Toy safety. Toy safety testing is an integral part of regulatory compliance and industry standards, and it is constantly changing. At Bureau Veritas we can help you ensure you are complaint in this area for all global markets.

CONTACT WITH FOOD

Any items that have an exposure to food or drink has the ability of contamination, particularly when the items are used for storage, heating or cooling. Generally, the more luxurious a product is, the wider range of materials and finishes are used. Some of which can create a higher risk of contamination.
