China Mandatory Standard GB 25038-2024 General Safety Requirements for Footwear Published

On May 28, 2024, 2 mandatory footwear standards were announced by China officials (See Bureau Veritas Bulletin 24B-055). Official versions of these standards were recently published.

China mandatory standard GB 25038-2024 General Safety Requirements for Footwear has been published. It is applicable to footwear made from various materials. Not suitable for protective shoes (boots) and footwear for children under 14 years old. Replacing GB 25038-2010, GB 21536-2008 and GB 25037-2010. It will be effective on Jun 1, 2025. In comparison to GB 25038-2010, major technical parameter changes are the following:
