China Mandatory Standard GB 30585-2024 Safety Technical Specifications for Infants’ and Children’s Footwear Published

On May 28, 2024, 2 mandatory footwear standards were announced by China officials (See Bureau Veritas Bulletin 24B-055). Official versions of these standards were recently published.

China mandatory standard GB 30585-2024 Safety Technical Specifications for Infants’ and Children’s Footwear has been published. It is applicable to footwear made from various materials for infants and children of age 14 and below. It will be effective on Jun 1, 2025. In comparison to GB 30585-2014, major technical parameter changes are the following:
