Utah Finalized Online Content Requirements for Bedding, Upholstered Furniture & Quilted Clothing
Nov. 1 2024
October 23, 2024, The State of Utah finalized their online content for bedding, upholstered furniture and quilted clothing. This will become effective May 15, 2025.
The State of Utah online requirements apply beginning May 15, 2025.
The textile label for quilted clothing is defined as a “label attached to a quilted clothing product that provides information required in 16 CFR Parts 300, 301, 303 and this rule”. In addition, as a requirement for online retailers, quilted clothing will require a digital textile label to be displayed or hyperlinked on the article’s landing page. If a hyperlink is used, it should provide the equivalent details of the filling material, the identification cited on the product application (Name or RN) and the sterilization number (if applicable).
For bedding and upholstered furniture, the online content will require a digital law label or equivalent information displayed or a hyperlink. If a hyperlink is used instead a digital law label, the information should include the applicable filling material, applicable Uniform Registry Number (URN), and sterilization permit number (if applicable). Note: Made to Order (MTO) articles ordered in a brick and mortar location are exempt from the digital law label requirements.
